G.Christmas Brownies:

1.Low Calorie Banana Brownies:

Ingredients:
1 cup All-purpose flour; 1/3 cup Unsweetened cocoa; 1/4 cup Nonfat Dry milk powder; 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda; 1/4 teaspoon Salt; 1 large Banana, ripe; 1 cup Sugar; 2 large Egg whites; 1/4 cup Buttermilk; 1 teaspoon Vanilla.

Method:
Preheat oven 350F. Coat 9 in. square baking pan with vegetable cooking spray. Combine flour, cocoa, milk powder, baking soda and salt in bowl. Puree banana, sugar, egg whites, buttermilk and vanilla in food processor until smooth. Add dry ingredients and pulse just until blended. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cut into 2 in. squares.

2.Fat Free Fudge Brownies:

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Whole wheat flour; 1/4 cup Unbleached flour; 1/4 cup Cocoa, plus 2 tablespoons 1 cup Sugar; 1/4 teaspoon Salt; 1/3 cup Unsweetened applesauce; 3 Egg whites; 1 teaspoon Vanilla.

Method:
Combine dry ingredients. Combine wet ingredients. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Pour into an 8x8 in pan sprayed lightly with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 325 F. for 23-25 min., or just until the edges are firm and the center is set. Cool to room temperature and cut into squares.

3.Graham Cracker Brownies(makes 16):

Ingredients:
2 eggs; 1/2 cup sugar; 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar; dash salt; 14 square graham crackers, crushed fine (about 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons); 1/2 cup chopped nuts; 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.

Method:
Beat eggs until light. Mix sugars, salt, graham cracker crumbs, and nuts; add to beaten egg, mixing well. Add vanilla. Spread mixture evenly in a greased and floured 8" square pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. While brownies are still warm, cut into 2" squares.

4.Christmas Brownies:

Ingredients:
1 cup sifted flour; 1 teaspoon baking powder; 1/2 cup butter, melted; 12 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder OR 4 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted; 4 large eggs; 2 cups sugar; 1/2 teaspoon salt; 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract; 3/4 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped; 1/4 cup finely crushed peppermint candy (about 11 of the round mints OR about 3 of the 6-inch canes) to sprinkle on top; Green decorating sugar to sprinkle on top.

Method:
Sift flour with baking powder. Combine melted butter with cocoa powder or melted chocolate. Add to eggs along with sugar, salt, and peppermint extract and beat until smooth and creamy. Add flour mixture and cherries. Blend all ingredients except crushed peppermint candy and green decorating sugar. Turn into buttered 9x13x2 inch baking pan and bake at 325 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candy and green decorating sugar on top immediately after removing from oven.

5.Butterscotch Brownies:

Ingredients:
6 tablespoons shortening; 1 1/2 cup brown sugar; 2 eggs; 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder; 1/2 teaspoon salt; 1 teaspoon vanilla; 1 1/2 cup flour; 1/2 cup chopped nuts; 1 cup butterscotch bits.

Method:
Preheat oven to 350F. Cream shortening and sugar, add the rest in given order. Grease a 9" x 13" baking pan. Pour batter into pan, and bake 25 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and then cut into squares.
