6.Lights:

Lighting has almost taken over Christmas candles as they burn for longer periods of time and are comparably safer for decoration purposes, and also look much better on Christmas Trees. The most common color combinations appropriate for the Christmas season include red, green and copper lights that denote festivity; blue and green lights for more subdued arrangements; novelty combinations such as blue and red lights; and mauve, blue and copper lights. While you can use a combo of as many as five colors for coniferous trees, use not more than three colors for deciduous trees. Use a monochromatic colour scheme. Use low watt bulbs for strings and indoor light decoration but you will need high watt bulbs for outdoor decorations and lights that will be viewed from a distance. Dip the socket end of the light bulb in petroleum jelly before fitting it into the socket string. This will prevent corrosion in the socket and will make it easier to pull out the bulb from it later. Tape all connections well with electrical tape to avoid short-circuits. Lights installed on the trees to keep up with its growth look quite graceful. Do not try to climb the branches of the tree you want to decorate. Use stepladder instead. Work on the tree from top to bottom and from inside to outside for ease of work and safety purposes.

7.Santa Claus:

: Santa Claus that jolly old fat man with a red suit is an integral part of the Christmas celebrations. Light Bulb Santa Claus:
Materials Needed:
Burnt out light bulb; Acrylic (craft) paint in white, red, flesh, black, and pink; Gold cord or ribbon; Hot glue; Black marker; Newspaper or paper towel; Paintbrush;
Method:
Paint an oval for Santa's face with flesh acrylic paint in the center of the round part of the light bulb. Paint entire remaining round portion of light bulb with white acrylic paint. Paint neck of bulb red, and top (socket) of "hat" white. Allow to dry completely. Using black acrylic paint, dot on two eyes. Using black marker, draw on smile. Dip clean paintbrush into pink acrylic paint, dab off excess paint onto newspaper or paper towel. Gently blotch on pink cheeks. Touch up Santa's beard and hat brim with more white paint. Hot glue a loop of gold cord or ribbon to the back of the bulb. Craft glue is not recommended as it does not adhere as well as hot glue does. Hang!

8.Christmas Ornaments:

As far back as three hundred years ago, glass balls were already used as Christmas decorations. Today, the big, shiny balls of thin plastic or glass are used. They were originally invented in Germany. Christmas tree ornaments based on most common Christmas motifs like Santa Claus, Snowman, Angels, Snowflakes, the Nativity, Stockings, Candies and Fruits, Animals. Handmade Felt Ornaments(Gingerbread Men):
Materials Needed:
Felt; Needle and thread; Scissors; A few pins or small safety pins; Fiberfill or cotton balls for stuffing; Assorted buttons, trims and fabric paint, depending on your project; Tacky craft glue; Wiggle eyes, optional; Small Jingle Bell, optional; Ribbon or yarn to hang the ornament with;
Method:
Use brown felt, buttons for eyes, and buttons down the front of the boy. A piece of gathered eyelet trim can make a cute skirt on a girl. You can also use white fabric/craft paint to make 'icing'. Decorate the front (and back, if you wish) of your gingerbread person. If you used paint, let it dry. Attach a ribbon loop to top of the head for hanging. Attach it with some small stitches to the wrong side. Stuff, and then sew the last part shut.

9.Nosegays:

Nosegays are quite easy to make and can be done to add personal touch to your Christmas decorations. Nosegays are bunches of anything that can be bundled up together and can vary in sizes, colors, styles and materials. They can be made up of glass ornaments, glittery twigs, silver leaves and bells, silk flowers, metallic baubles. For rustic themed Christmas party, you can use raffia, pinecones, acorns, berries, wheat, leaf twigs, holly, oak and balsam leaves. The elements can be natural or artificial but nosegays do add designer touch to formal Christmas gatherings and you can be as creative as you want to make them unique.

10.Flowers:

Christmas flowers have always been known among people as they are used to decorate places, present to near and dear ones wishing them merry Christmas as these Christmas flowers are known for bringing good fortune and prosperity. Several flowers such as Poinsettia in different colours like red, pink and white; Roses; Rosemary is used widely in Christmas Wreaths; Christmas Holly; Mistletoes.
