Handmade Christmas Gift Ideas:

2.Christmas Gifts For Him(contd.):

Make a Calendar:

Materials Required:
Plain, printed calendar pages(one for each month); 12 special photos or theme related pictures or family pictures; Double-sided tape; Heavy paper (such as decorative cardstock) to use as a cover.

Method:
Choose a photo for each month, print out calendar pages, and mount each month's picture on the coresponding calendar page.Have the pages laminated and spiral-bound at an office supply or stationary store. You could also have personalized messages for your spouse/daddy in each page. This is a good gift for men who are working away from family, grandparents staying away.

Scarves:

Buy fleece from a fabric store. You can cut the edges, even wash it, and the fleece won't fray. Simply cut out scarves from the fleece, no sewing is required. For the kids, you can design the fleece. For adults you can use black and heather gray. Just roll the scarf and tie with a nice cloth ribbon; black scarves can have a light gray ribbon, and the gray ones can have a smart black cloth ribbon. They look very chic and everyone uses them to match almost any winter coat!

Wallets:

You can use old corduroys, old jeans trousers, double fold and cut them into rectangular shapes keeping a single layer of top flap for cover(as in an envelope) . Stitch a stiff lining to the entire wallet . Stitch the edges to join the wallet leaving out the top half. Cut out a small fabric and stitch on the front left hand side of the wallet, you can attach a small button to it (this can hold the coins).Fix a small decorative button onto the wallet so that the upper flap is conveniently fixed to it.

Personalised T-Shirts:

You can get a plain white T-shirt, put a layer of cardboard inside the shirts so the paint/markers didn't bleed through. T-shirt forms are available in many craft stores also. Shirts needs to be washed without fabric softener first so that the paint/ink adheres well to the fabric. Check washing instructions on the paint/marker labels.Remember to cut a piece of cardboard to fit inside the shirt (this is so the paint won't sink through). Now, simply use the fabric paint to make a pattern/writeup/sketch/smiley on the shirt. Give it atleast 24 hours to dry (read the instructions on the fabric paint you bought).

Sports Accessory Baskets:

You can personalise and decorate small trays and baskets and fill them with your spouse/dads favourite sport accessories example, golf tees, gloves, sweatbands, headbands, personalized towels, etc.

Photoframes:

Materials Needed:
2 CD Cases; Construction Paper; Glue; 2 Photos.

Method:
Cut 2 piece of construction paper into squares that will fit into the cd case. Cut a square out of the center of each square. Glue a photo into each hole. Put a dab of glue in each corner of your squares, on the sides that the picture is facing out. Open the cd cases and stick your squares on the inside of each cd case cover. Close the cd cases. Glue the top edges of the cd cases together (figure 2). A hot glue gun works great for this. You can decorate the completed standing frame if you like. You can add stickers, ribbon, lace around the edges, glitter, etc.
