Set Of Crayons/ Craft Must Haves/ Craft Books:

Buy a set of craft must haves eg. Glue, scissors, colours, paint brushes, craft design books etc and nicly pack them up in personalized boxes and gift your kid this Christmas, it is sure to keep his/her hands busy.

Personalised Kids T-shirt/ Towels/ Fleece Cushions/Pillows/Blankets:

A.Buy a plain Tshirt of your child’s favourite colour. Put a layer of cardboard inside the shirt so the paint/markers wont sink through. T-shirt forms are available in many craft stores also. Shirts needs to be washed without fabric softener first so that the paint/ink adheres well to the fabric. Check washing instructions on the paint/marker labels. Now, simply use the fabric paint to make a pattern/writeup/sketch/smiley on the shirt. Give it atleast 24 hours to dry (read the instructions on the fabric paint you bought).

B.Bath Towels:
You could also personalize bath towels by a small embroidery, or by stitching your child’s name on it.Alternatively you could paint the towels.

Materials Needed:
Assorted fabric paints; Hand towel; Cardboard; Foam brush; Paper towels.

Method:
Start by pre-washing and drying your Hand towel. You can use a terry toweling towel or a fine weave linen towel. Place some cardboard behind the towel to prevent the paint from bleeding through and to also give you something to press against. Pour some of the fabric paint out onto the plastic tray, just a small amount at this stage. Place some paint onto the foam brush and brush it onto your hand. Place the hand over the area you want to paint and then quickly and firmly press the hand down into place. Apply an even pressure to make sure all the hand is stamping the fabric. Rinse or wipe the hands in between each press to prevent any old paint from messing up the design. Wash the hands completely in between different colors. Continue pressing the hand designs down all over the towel until it is completely covered. Once it has dried follow the instructions on your fabric paint for setting the paint this may mean you have to iron the towel or place it into a dryer or simple allow it 48 hours to set.When completely dry pack a set of 4 hand towels and gift wrap them for your child.

C.Fleece Cushions/Pillows/Blankets:
Materials Needed:
Two complimentary pieces of fleece material that are exactly the same size; Lots of straight pins or safety pins; scissors; Measuring tape; pencil;

Method:
Start with two complimentary pieces of fleece material that are exactly the same size. Lay your two pieces of fleece out on a table. Using straight pins or safety pins, neatly pin the material together about eight inches in from the edges. This is to keep your blanket in place as you work. Now trim with scissors all the way around to make sure that they match exactly and that they are perfectly square. Now, at each corner, cut a four inch square indent into the corner. (Save your fleece pieces for future crafting!) Now, you are going to cut a four inch long, one inch wide fringe all the way around the material. You may want to use something to measure as you go, or you can 'eye-ball' it if you trust yourself.When you are finished, start at one corner and begin to tie the fringe of the two layers together so that the knot ends up inside the blanket. Then tie it a second time so that the resulting fringe would lay neatly. Tie several fringe on one side of the corner and then several on the other side of the corner, ending up with a perfect corner. Then pull gently at the knots to smooth your work. Once you have tied all the way around, you can remove your pins! It is ready to be gifted.Similarly you can create No sew Fleece Cushions and pillows.

Method:
Take a good sized box or a 3D frame. Remove the back and sketch out the area where a window should be. If you have an old piece of carpet, cut it to fit the bottom of your box for a rug, or make throw rugs from scraps of material. Cut pictures from magazines and hang (tape) on the wall. Wrap small boxes (such as jello) with brown grocery bag paper and decorate as a stove or refrigerator. Make all your furniture from different size boxes. If you have some small pieces of wood, you could draw your refrigerator door on it, or a stove using markers. Make sure the wood is sanded to avoid slivers. Use a thimble for a waste basket. Draw a window and cut it and tape in the fabric against the windows for curtains. You can add decorations of your own choice. Make different size boxes, and place them near each other to create a different rooms. Place boxes on top of each other to create a large doll house effect.
