Beat Hangover With Food

There are hangovers, especially when you've just been through a whole season of non-stop partying. imageNow it's time to put your feet up and indulge in fresh foods for a non-toxic beginning. The morning after a late night party is always bad, so we suggest, go light on the eating and consume lots of liquids instead as these are instant ways of detoxing your much corroded system. Begin with a regenerating cup of ginger tea. It's so easy make, it tastes fab and cleanses your system. It is also a great remedy for a sore throat. As an alternative, you can try fresh vegetable juice. Basic vegetables like beetroot, carrots, celery and cucumber juiced with a dash of lime makes for an instant energy drink. For lunch, a bowl of hot soup. We suggest a peppery spinach soup. Vegetables like onions, carrots, green beans, ginger and garlic go well with spinach. Team it up with multi-grain bread for something solid. Salads are a bonus. Keep it light. Avoid creamy dressings. Instead, try a vinegar base. Be generous with the green leaves and toss it up with sprouts, croutons, pickles, cherry tomatoes, olives and jalapenos. A hint of olive oil and herbs work well too. And whoever said desserts were supposed to be off the list! It's time to rejuice. No harm splurging on a fresh fruit tart even when you're on a cleanser diet. Only, make sure the tart is morstly fruits. A small crisp base with a variety of fruit slices will not only satisfy your taste buds but it will also keep you off the guilt trip. We say binge!
