Father's Day Celebration Ideas: Instead of buying the usual gifts of clothes, or buying a card and giving flowers, celebrate this special occasion by doing something unique and touching. Here are some tips that you could use to make a special event out of this day for both your father and you.
1. Have A Day Out: Time is very precious, so giving your father your time is something which he will enjoy and probably love the most which will of course show him that you do care and love him. Cancel all your appointments for Father's Day, keep it exclusively for him and spend it with him. Spend that time at home with him, sharing your thoughts or take him out for shopping or even a meal or better still, take him to his favorite spot for a picnic. Quality time will always be treasured by him and it is more important than giving materialistic gifts. You can even take him to a ball game, a day by the seaside or for a PGA tournament. Spend the day at the park, maybe it would bring back childhood memories when you would go to the park with your dad to fly kites, so relive some of those childhood memories that you both shared and enjoyed. There are plenty of ways to hang out with dad outside. Options are plenty for outdoors. If he is not very keen on going out, you can maybe spend it with him in the garden, working side by side.
 2. Bond With A New Experience: What better day than Father's Day to be adventurous and try out something new with your father. Go ahead and learn a dance such as a waltz or salsa, go for bunji jumping or rock climbing. Make this a day to start with learning a new language; enroll in a class together, it will be a great way to bond with your father by learning and experiencing new things together. If time is a factor, then you can do something which wont take up too much time and at the same time will be exciting. You can go to a new restaurant and try out new cuisines which you have never eaten or tasted.
3. Make A Album By Going Down Memory Lane: A good gift idea would be going down memory lane that is spend time going through albums which has pictures of your childhood, pick selected ones and transfer them onto a CD. Make a photo slideshow by using these photos and arrange them in order, from the time you were a baby to your growing years, till your recent photo. Give captions to each picture, view the slideshow with him and that will make him go back to the time when you were born, bringing back nostalgic memories. Another option would be to make him a scrapbook with all the pictures from childhood to adulthood. Gift it to him.
 4. Cook A Meal: Make him a meal he won’t forget. Practice your culinary skills before hand and plan out which meal and dish you would want to please him with. Either make him a good breakfast, or a lunch. If that is not possible, then take him for dinner at his favorite joint.
5. Find Out His Wants: Ask about from your mother, sister or brother or grandmother what is it that your father desires the most. It could be something that he loves and desires the most will not buy it for him.
