International Women's Day Themes:
On IWD in order to look after all the issues pertaining to women different Organisations, governments and women's groups around the world choose different themes each year. Some years have seen global IWD themes honoured around the world, while in other years groups have preferred to 'localise' their own themes to make them more specific and relevant. Contrary to popular belief, it is upto each country or organisation to choose its own theme while observing International women's Day. Some of the popular themes of different countries are:
