1.Create Love Coupons For Your family / Spouse / Children:
Divide the whole day’s work uniformly among all and in return the promise on the coupon will be fulfilled if work is completed. Thus you can create coupons saying “ Clean the Garage – Get a Back rub free”, or “Do your bed – Bubble Bath free”, or “Vaccuum The House – Get a free spa treatment at home” and so on.
2.Recreate love with your Spouse:
Go back to the university (if you met each other there) or eat at the restaurant you dined at the day after your parents introduced him to you. Recreate your first date or honeymoon all over again. You can also read to each other passages from books that you gave as gifts or watch movies that were courtship landmarks for you.
3.Go on a Date with Him:
Pamper yourself and get a makeover. Go on a date with your husband. Give him a gift and tell him that you love him.
4.Do things Together:
Consider booking yourselves into a spa for a day (even better, don’t tell him your plan and surprise him by taking him there). What you can expect: a rejuvenating experience that involves the both of you taking a sauna and shower followed by a luxurious body scrb, an all-natural body wrap to detoxify your body, and a relaxing massage to take away aches and pains. Finish it off with a delicious fruit platter and some herbal tea, leaving both of you pampered, restored and relaxed and much more knowledgeable to try it on your own later.
5.Give An Extra Gift:
This 14th. Forget nagging and give your teenager the gift of healthy skin by employing a subtle approach. Introduce your teenage daughter to good-skin habits such as cleansing, toning and moisturising by creating a gift hamper for her containing a face wash, toner, and a moisturiser. If your teenage son has been wanting a pair of skates for a long time, give it to him instead of shouting about the dangers involved. Make sure however that you get him trained into its proper usage.
6.Go to a romantic destination together:
Take a holiday minus the children. Even a weekend trip can work like a shot of sugar and do what no family outing can ever achieve. If you must take your children along, make sure you have enough alternatives arranged for them to do and enjoy.
7.A romantic evening at home:
The candle-lit-dinner-and-red-roses routine scores a perfect ten on rekindling romance scales. It has never failed anyone and never will. A quiet evening away from the din in each others company is all you need to enjoy.
8.Go for a long drive and enjoy:
A walk in the rain or a leisurely stroll with your loved one by the riverside can push the most nagging thoughts to the back of your mind. As long as you’re not in a hurry to get somewhere, “aimless” wandering on a relaxed evening can turn the most tiring day into bliss.
9.Visit an Orphanage and give away Valentine’s Day Goodies:
You can do something new this Valentine’s Day. Go with your family to an orphanage and distribute Valentine’s Day Goodies to much less priviledged children who do not have anyone to call their own. You don’t need to spend fortunes, a pencil box filled with gifts, or a Colouring Book along with Paint Accessories, or a Tiffin Box filled with chocolates are enough to brighten up their day.
10.Wish your long distance relative whom you havent seen for ages:
This Valentine’s Day, buy some scented writing paper and envelopes. Write a letter to those dear relatives who live abroad and whom you havent met for ages. Tell them how much they mean to you, and apologise for anything that you may have done (or not done) that may have hurt them, ending with a promise to try and make it up to them this year. Send the letter along with a bouquet (can be ordered through the internet) on Valentine’s Day and see the satisfaction and happiness that you feel throughout the day.
11.Involve all the children at home to make Valentine’s Day Cookies:
Make Special Valentine’s Day Cookies at home involving the children in the process. The children will feel special and enjoy making them too. Gift pack the cookies and give them to all the members of the family on Valentine’s Day Evening. Let the children finish their cookies as and when they please. You can also make it a game. Hide the gift wrapped cookie jars in nooks and corners all over the house. Have the children search for them. Whoever finds a jar gets to eat the contents.
12.Leave small love notes for your Valentine:
You can leave small love notes all around the house this Valentine’s Day.. under the pillow, on the dressing table, in the bathroom, on the wardrobe, on the dining table, in his lunch box, inside his office bag, etc. Keep them in areas where he is bound to come across them and read them. See the radiance on his face when he is home in the evening.
13.Attend / Throw A Valentines Day Party:
If you wish to spend this Valentine’s Day in an extravagant manner with lots of friends, the best way is to throw a Valentine’s Day Party or attend one.
