Valentine's Day Happy Valentine's Day(2008) From 101lifeStyle.com Valentine's Day Recipes: Valentine's Day Dinner Recipes: Valentine’s Day Appetizers: 1.Valentine's Day Caviar Heart Kisses: Ingredients: 1 sm Cucumber, scrubbed and trimmed; 1/3 c Sour Cream; 1 ts Dried dill weed; Freshly ground black pepper to taste; 1 Jar red salmon caviar; Fresh dill sprigs; 8 Thin slices whole-wheat bread; Butter or margarine; Method: Slice cucumber into 1/4-inch rounds. In a small bowl, combine sour cream, dried dill and pepper. Place one teaspoon of the sour cream mixture on each cucumber slice. Garnish each with about 1/2 teaspoon caviar and a dill sprig. Cut bread slices with heart-shaped cookie cutter. Toast and butter. Place cucumber slices in center of serving plate and surround with toast hearts. 2.Valentine's Day Crunchy Stuffed Eggs: Ingredients: 6 Hard boiled eggs, peeled, halved length-wise; 1/4 c. Sour cream; 1/4 tsp. Salt; 1/8 tsp. Coarse ground pepper; 1 tsp. Parsley flakes; 2 Strips bacon, cooked and crumbled; Method: Remove and mash egg yolks with sour cream, salt, pepper and parsley flakes. Mix until smooth. Stir in bacon. Stuff egg whites with yolk mixture, sprinkle with paprika and top with an olive half. To garnish, top with halved pimento stuffed olive. 3.Valentine's Day Salmon Pate: Ingredients: 1/4 pound smoked salmon; 1 can (7 oz.) red salmon; 1 package (4 oz.) cream cheese; 1/4 cup butter, softened; Method: Combine all ingredients in food processor, and process until smooth. Pack into a serving dish. Store in the fridge. Serve with crackers or small pieces of bread to spread it on. Add capers or dill to garnish if desired. 4.Valentine's Day Blue Cheese and Walnuts: Ingredients: 1 c Walnuts; 1 c Crumbled blue cheese; 1 Egg beaten with 1 tb water; Method: Just chop 1 cup of walnuts (depending on the size of brie you need to cover) and stir into 1 cup crumbled blue cheese. Press onto the top of the brie and carefully wrap a sheet of thawed puff pastry dough (Roll out to size needed). Use fingers wet with cold water to seal underside of pastry. Cut off excess to make cut-outs and adhere to top of brie with a little cold water. Brush with egg mixture. Bake on a cookie sheet covered with baking parchment in a 375 degree oven for about 20 minutes until golden. (Parchment makes it simple to transfer brie to serving dish.) Let Baked Brie stand for 20-30 Min. before cutting to let it firm up a little. 5.Three-Meat Stromboli(Yield: 2 loaves): Ingredients: 2 loaves (1 pound each) frozen bread dough, thawed; 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard; 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided; 4 ounces pastrami, finely chopped; 4 ounces pepperoni, finely chopped; 4 ounces salami, finely chopped; 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese; 1 egg, beaten; Method: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet. Roll each loaf of bread into a 12x7- inch rectangle. Spread mustard to within 1 inch of edges. Sprinkle each with 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese. Combine pastrami, pepperoni, salami, and Swiss cheese; sprinkle over dough. Top with the remaining Parmesan. Brush edges of dough with egg. Roll up, jelly-roll style, beginning with a long side. Seal edge and ends. Place seam side down on prepared baking sheet; cut three slits in the top of each loaf. Bake at 350 degree F oven for 35-40 minutes. Slice; serve warm.
