The Citadel ( al-Qala'a | Shar'a Salih Salem ):
The citadel is one of the most awe inspiring form of historical legacy left behind. This massive fortress was built in the 12th century,containing a number of mosques , museums and other sites , the largest mosque within the citadel area is the "Mohammed Ali Mosque"also called "the Alabaster Mosque".Also there is also a jail, a museum of stolen antiquities, and a vast national military museum devoted mainly to the tanks and airplanes of the 1973 Arab-Israeli war. The Citadel is a great structure which marks out the skyline prominently due to its massive shape and size , there is a police museum, three mosques, a carriage museum, a military museum, a palace, and a garden museum are some of the important buildings to visit to mention a few.

The Cairo Tower:
The Cairo tower is a very important landmark in Cairo, as it is 187 high omne among the four tallest towers in the world, it is a tv tower located in Zamalek district on Gezira Island in the River Nile , it was built in 1961 a few years after the 1952 revolution in Egypt. The view of cairo from this a tower is a magnificent sight of the city as a telescope is installed on the roof and is open for visitors from 9 am to 1 am and another amazing factor about the tower is that it has a restaurant which rotates for the visitors to be able to view all sides of the city. The neighboring areas of the tower consists of several coffee shops and restaurants as well.

Bab el-Futuh (Gate of Conquests) and Bab el-Nasr (Gate of Victory):
The two monumental Gateways in the Islamic Quarter, Bab el-Futuh (Gate of Conquests) and Bab el-Nasr (Gate of Victory), mark the northern edge of Fatimid Cairo. Between the two lie the remains of the fortified wall which once encircled the city and which still gives the impression of invulnerability.

Colossus Of Ramses II:
Located at Al Remayah Square, Pyramids, Grand Museum of Egypt Cairo - 12561; this colossal statue of Ramses II is 10 meters long (although its feet are missing). The anatomy is impeccable, the sheer size of it is intimidating. This great fallen statue was found by Giovanni Caviglia in 1820 near the south gate of the Temple of Ptah.
