Güimar: Güimar is town and a valley in the eastern part of Tenerife Island with large banana plantations, and ethnographic pyramids park pyramids of Güimar or Gaunche Pyramids .The Malpais De Güimar or the ( bad lands of Guimar) which cinsists of a volcanic cone and the highest point is Montaña Grande.The Pyramids of Guimar are 6 structures of rectangular terrace structures in pyramid form which was built on a lava stone without the use of any mortar located in the district of chacona.These pyramids were discovered 1987, showing resemblance to the pyrmaids in Egypt, ancient Mesopotamia, Peru and Mexico. these Pyramids are located in such a way that they mark the position of both the summer and winter solstices .It is also belived that these pyramids cannot be older in than 19the century.
Los Realejos: Los Realejos is located to the north side of Tenerife close to the village of Guimar , it is on the slopes of the Tigaiga Mountain range, and at the edge of the La Orotava valley on the north coast .The Island's oldest church is present in In Los Realejos Alto, the spot where the defeated Guanche kings were baptized into the Christian faith , the Church of Santiago Apóstol.. the Spire of the church rising up to the sky with a backdrop of Tigaiga Mountain range defining the skyline is amazing view of God's creation and man's imagination.There are several other monuments of interest as well .The town of has both an upper and a lower center Los Realejos. The Island is filled with an amazing collection of Drago trees, for those who like to walk can go down to Los Realejos Bajo a historical block serving as a good example of 16th century architecture.On May third of every year, the two fireworks factories that run in Los Realejos where there is pyroterchnical display of firework same weekend hosts another show The Flypa International Paragliding Festival, which includes magnificent air display , beach parties and concerts involving performances by major bands over a period of three to four days. Icod de los Vinos Icod de los Vinos is popularly called the "Town Of Mythological Dragon Tree" which is almost a thousand years old Icod de los Vinos is a part of the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife on the Island of Tenerife. This is another Island in the Canary Islands which is known for its wine. Garachico: Garachico is present in the north coast of Tenerife with black sands and natural basins it is believed that this village had once been a very important port.Although the place was almost destroyed as it has overcome Bubonic plague, floods , storms , fires and volcanic eruptions.However what is worth while is that the place has churches that have beeen retored to beauty, and swimmimg pool made out of volcanic rocks. Santiago Del Teide: Santiago Del Teide is a high altitude valley with a nice landscape and an articulate coastline called Acantilados de los Gigantes. which has a height of 600 metres in certain parts of the cliffs of the coastline, and the sea bed is not deeper than 30 meters , and is good place for diving and marine exploration. Therefore the municipality of Santiago Del Teide extends from the coast to the foothills of the Teide Range .The place is a contrast between agricultural and tourist areas . Tomato plantations are extensive along with banana plantations .The agricultural areas in this place are Tamaimo and Arguayo whereas the beaches of Puerto de Santiago and in Los Gigantes. are tourist areas .
San Cristobal de la Laguna: The former capital:: San Cristobal de la Laguna: was the former capital of Tenerife and also contains the most important university as it was the first university of the Island .This city was found in 1497, with several monumental buildings which have been declared have been declared as world monuments by ( UNESCO)This city shelters the the legendary house of Catalina Lercaro's spectrum, along with the incorrupt body of Sister Maria de Jesus, and the Christ of La Laguna Cristo de La Laguna). Another emblematic building of the city is the Cathedral of La Laguna, which is the catholic cathedral of Tenerife and his diocese (Diocese of Tenerife). National Park El Teide: The land scape in this region has been carved out by the great forces of volcanic eruptions and Christopher Comumbus was a witness to the last eruption which had takeb place 1492 from the Island of La Gomera,before continueing his discovery journey to America.The Site of National Park El Teide was declared a national park in 1954, and contains an accumalation of volcanic materialamounting to 12 million cubic meters, structured as formations called Narices del Teide ( noses of Teide )One can get access to the now extinct volcano by either or cable car that will carry a person almost to the summit. From the peak, one can see the neighboring islands of Gran canaria, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro.
