Las Vegas-Travellers Paradise

Places Of Interest:
Las Vegas offers plenty of attractions to the tourist. The Strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) offers a fantasy world experience. The Mirage Volcano, Shark reef, Eiffel Tower Experience, Bellagio Fountain Shows, famous museums, and lots of rides and thrills along with famous casinos, and bowling and other fun activities make up the city of Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Attractions:
1.Las Vegas Boulevard/ The Strip:The Las Vegas Strip is the nickname applied to several miles of the southern part of Las Vegas Boulevard. This is the location of the biggest, most modern and most spectacular Casinos in Las Vegas. The scenery along this stretch of the boulevard is unbelievable. It looks like you have been transported into some gigantic fantasy world. At night, it sports an amazing display of colored lights.
2.Freemont Street Experience:Fremont Street, in downtown Vegas, has been converted into a pedestrian mall with a 90-foot high (30-meter) canopy providing shade from the hot desert sun. Musicians and street entertainers provide free entertainment day and night. After dark, 2.million lights in the canopy are used to create a wonderful display of animated color images known as the Fremont Street Experience.
3.Mirage Dolphin Habitat:This is widely considered to be one of the best and most successful dolphin habitats in the world.Habitat is the right word for this since it is much more than just an exhibit or zoo. They raise and nurture several dolphins and you get to see, study, and play with them.
4.Mirage White Tiger Habitat:A glassed-in enclosure where two of Siegfried & Roy's white tigers show off for the camera toting crowds.
5.Mirage Volcano:A three-story "volcano" using lights, fire, and water to simulate an eruption. The entire thing takes only a few minutes.
6.Bellagio Fountain Shows:A computerized water and light show that shoots geysers of water hundreds of feet in the air in time to various music pieces.Inclement weather and high winds can cause the show to be canceled. Also, this is a very popular attraction so the crowds can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, blocking the best views. Try to go during an off-period for the best viewing options. Plus you really should see this one at night to get the full effect. For a truly great viewing area, go up in the Eiffel Tower Experience at Paris Las Vegas across the street.
7.Eiffel Tower Experience:A ½ size scale replica of the Eiffel Tower in France soaring some 50 stories above The Strip. Near the top, an observation deck offers stunning views. If you are at all afraid of heights, avoid this one like the plague. The elevators are glass and the observation deck is very small (holding only about 30-40 people at a time.
8.Shark ReefLocated at the far south end of Mandalay Bay it is a massive 90,000 square-foot aquarium packed to the brim with all manner of sea life, including an up close and personal look at sharks of all sizes (hence the name). Visitors are given "audio wands" that you can use to listen to pre-recorded information on the various fishies.
9.MGM Grand Lion Habitat:A 5,300 square foot glass enclosure housing several lions that you can view in a "natural" environment (waterfalls, stone outcroppings, etc.). Glass walls and a see-through walkway allow for viewing above, below, and around you.
10.Venetian Grand:A ride in a real gondola through the fake canal of the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian or the equally fake outdoor canals in front of the hotel. A singing gondolier takes you on the short trip up and down the mall or around the canals out front while all of the rest of the tourists stand along the canals and take pictures of you to show the neighbors when they get home.
11.Montelago Village And Casino:Located about 25 minutes east of The Strip off Lake Mead Drive, MonteLago Village is designed to resemble a quaint Italian seaside town, complete with cobblestone streets, village squares, and a small marina. Shopping, dining, and gaming are a standard at every Las Vegas resort but never in the history of the town has it been as charming and, dare we say, relaxing as it is at the new MonteLago Village at Lake Las Vegas.

Museums:

1.Guiness World Records Museum:An interactive museum dedicated to all of the wacky world records chronicled by Guinness. For instance, you can compare your height to a statue of the world's tallest man or see the world's largest magnet collection.
2.King Tut's Tomb And Museum:A faithful reproduction of the original tomb of Egyptian ruler King Tut with interactive audio tours and exhibits.
3.Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum:The 30,000 square-foot facility is divided up into several celebrity themed-rooms. The first is a party theme with a guest list of dreams: Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Cher, Joan Collins, Wolfgang Puck, Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep, Whoopi Goldberg, Liam Neeson, Larry King, and a dozen or so others all stand around and look waxy. Next are a couple of sports themed rooms with Muhammad Ali, Babe Ruth, Evander Holyfield (pre-ear chomp it was noted), Flo Jo, and more.Next is an educational room where visitors learn the history of Madame Tussaud and see the process by which they make the wax figures. The Rock room features everyone from Bruce Springfield to Madonna with some stops at Prince, James Brown, Elton John, and friends along the way.
