Singapore is a land of fascinating sites bursting with vibrancy of its rich cultural heritage.

1.Victoria Theatre:
imageVisit the Victoria Theatre to view some plays. The plays vary throughout the year.
2.Singapore Art Museum : Exhibits in the museum range from traditional to modern art from all parts of Southeast Asia. The E-mage Gallery is one of the many attractions in the museum. It features interactive programme, involving 20th century Southeast Asian art on large high definition visual monitors.
3.Delfi Orchard: Visit this place to see its art galleries.
4.Cantonese Operatic Singing: The Chinese Theatre Circle is introducing the Cantonese Operatic Singing with music accompaniment to revive the culture prevalent in the 1930s and 40s. image
5.The Millenia Singapore Art Collection (Marina Centre): It houses one of the finest and largest corporate art collections in Southeast Asia. It includes masterpieces by renowned artists, displayed for the 1st time in Singapore, like Frank Stella and Phillip Johnson. The masterpieces range from murals to sculptures. image
6.Singapore History Museum : 20 dioramas trace the history of Singapore form a fishing village to a modern nation state. You can also see artifacts recently recovered from the troop ship sunk by the Japanese during the Second World War, "Empress of Asia".

Other Interests:

1.Chinatown: The first group of immigrants arrived at the mouth of Singapore River in 1821 from Xiamen. Chinatown, a place with harsh conditions, minimum sanitation and gang crime was where the immigrants called home. Fresh water was available from the well at Spring Street. Bullock-drawn carts were pulled to collect fresh water. This was how Chinatown’s other name, Bullock Cart Water, came about.
a.Sri Mariaman Temple:It is considered to be the most important of all Hindu temples. It was built to worship the goddess Mariamman
b.Thian Hock Keng Temple:This temple is the oldest Chinese temple around. Sailors who reached Sngapore gave their thanks at this temple as early as 1821. They pay their respects to Ma Zu Po (the Mother of Heavenly Sages) or Confucius
c.Ann Siang Hill:Immigrants with intention to send money home would come to this place where they would find the remittance houses. The area is also full of Clan and Sporting Associations. At the entrance of No.14 Ann Siang Road, there is a peep-hole, where ladies used to peep through to see who was at the door.

2.Little India:
Little India, stretching from Rochor Canal to Lavendar Street has retained its traditional charm in Modern Singapore. Little India used to be a place for Indian immigrants, after cattle rearing was introduced.

3.Kampung Glam:

Its name came from the Glam tree grown in that area. Medicinal oil was extracted from it and its bark used by the Buginese and Malays to caulk their ships. The area was the historic seat of Malay royalty in Singapore.

4.Geylang Serai:
Characterized by the Malay Village, Geylang Serai has been the residing place of Malays long before the Chinese and Indians. Geylang Serai became the Malays’ enclave in the 1840s after the British dispersed the Malay floating village at the mouth of Singapore.
a.Malay Village: Located in the heart of Geylang Serai, the Malay Village offers tourists a taste of kampong life, complete with traditional activities like batik and kite-making, and kampong games such as top-spinning.
